Munawar Saeed

It is May of 1992. The state sanctioned “Operation” has put the city of Karachi at constant unrest. Abdul Aziz Ansari wakes up at night and is informed by his daughter in law, Naseema that his son hasn’t returned home. As a knock on their door later at night summons them to the hospital, what they witness along the way is known today as the most brutal chapter of the city’s history, a sentiment of hatred towards their race, deep rooted beneath the system.

A devoted mother becomes the target of a respected religious elder after rejecting his advances. As false accusations spread and her community turns against her, she must fight to protect her family, her dignity, and her faith.

Munawar Saeed (Abba) is the Godfather to four young men. The five men are living in a low income apartment, sharing comical jokes in the middle of the night. Their intellect is shown through their dialogue but they seem as though they are typical proletarians in their physical appearance. In the midst of the story, violence has erupted in the city and heavy firing has started right outside on their street.

Shows the conflict between workers on a textile factory and entrepreneurs. Having received a higher education and a diploma in textile engineering, the co-owner of a large textile factory returns to Pakistan. He is an energetic young man full of innovative ideas. He soon becomes convinced that nothing has changed here in the years of his absence: the factory owners still wallow in luxury, squandering money on gambling, banquets and mistresses. The workers still drag out a miserable, impoverished existence. Their exploitation has been brought to extreme limits - there are no schools, hospitals, no safety equipment - people are dying, and their families are evicted from their homes.
