Ingvar Kamprad

For over 40 years, Harold has been running a successful business, Lunde Furniture, together with his wife, Marny. This comes to an end when IKEA decides to open a new superstore right next door to Harolds small furniture shop. Harold and Marny lose both their shop and their home to the bank, and to make matter worse, Marny is starting to lose her memory. In mounting anger and desperation, Harold wants revenge. He arms himself with a pistol, gets into his old Saab, and sets off for lmhult, Sweden, to kidnap his nemesis, the founder of IKEA, Ingvar Kamprad.

Felix Herngren meets Ingvar Kamprad and talks about everything from growing up to business, family, ageing, death and of course about his life's work Ikea. Ingvar is considered by many to be one of the world's richest people and has now moved home after several decades abroad.

There are over 150 IKEA branches all over the world. And now Russia has one of its own. On 22 March 2000, Russia's first IKEA opened its doors in the Moscow suburb of Khimki. Manuela and Ulf, both loyal IKEA employees, meet and fall in love in an IKEA store in Berlin. They leave their families and decide to go to Moscow. Lost in a world of heavy old furniture, they feel like pioneers bringing Russia its first taste of "brighter living".
