A critique of consumerist life.

Polish musical comedy. The film focuses on two friends who spend their vacation in the beautiful countryside of Mazury. They buy a very nice car (Syrenka), but in order to pay for it the men need to start working as solicitors for a notable art impresario named Koszajtis. Soon they get thrown right in the middle of a hilarious war between two rivaling music-and-dance groups.

Fall 1944. A wounded Polish officer, Ryszard, is brought to the Allied field hospital. He notices another soldier on the table - also a Pole - a rosary made of pomegranate seeds. Józef, overjoyed at the arrival of his countryman, tells the story of the rosary.

Upon leaving the school Karol starts to seek his longing mother who moved out, in a meanwhile, not giving any address.

An old man's death leads to a high-profile police investigation, who connect the crime with the search for lost corsair treasure.
