The pleasant voice of "Nemat," a young man from Ahvaz, causes "Jamshid," the owner of a cabaret in Tehran, to gain popularity and wealth. However, when Nemat tries to use his talent for his own benefit, Jamshid, who has suffered losses, seeks revenge by trying to marry Ameneh by giving money to her father. The brothers of Yusuf (Joseph), jealous of their father Yaqub’s (Jacob's) love for him, throw him into a well. A caravan rescues Yusuf, and years later he is sold as a slave in the market of Egypt. Zulaikha, Yusuf's owner, falls in love with him, and after an incident, the Aziz of Egypt (Zulaikha’s husband) has him imprisoned. Seven years later, Yusuf is released due to his interpretation of the Pharaoh’s dream and rises to the rank of Aziz of Egypt.

In a barren land, a family lives. The three older brothers of the family decide to take over the neighboring land in order to cultivate their own property and make use of the abundant river that flows through that land. In Tehran, a young man struggles between keeping his integrity and joining a band of criminals to prosper for the woman he loves.

A young villager loves the landlord's daughter, while his sister is in love with the landlord's son. The landlord is initially furious about this, but later agrees to his son marrying the village girl. He tells the young villager that he will only agree to his marriage to his daughter if he earns a lot of money. The young villager manages to get the money during an incident. However, the landlord's daughter falls ill from missing the young villager. The landlord searches for the young man. Eventually, he finds him and, dropping his earlier condition, agrees to their marriage.
