Zaza Nakashidze is imprisoned for a murder he never committed. While in jail he tries to prove his innocence and with other prisoners, real murderers and thieves, dreams of freedom.

Architect David Mikeladze is wanted by the Soviet Security Committee for arrest. He manages to move to Turkey and starts a new life there, creating a second family. After Georgia gains independence, David Mikeladze returns to his homeland and dies there, as his family was told, of a heart attack. Years later, his son arrives in Georgia, finds his half-brother, and learns the true cause of his father's death.

A retired Georgian film star, used to playing heroic leads, embarks on a cathartic journey after a casting session with a young female director, who has offered him a supporting role of a bizarre and unsympathetic character in her debut film.

The first secretary of the city party committee's house was filled with his colleagues: the head of the construction department, the deputy manager of the bank, a journalist, an ambulance doctor, and the head of the police department - in short, those who were responsible for the city's survival. A dreamy girl’s first love, a boy from her village, leaves her, leaving her unable to bear the reproaches of her family and the shameful life she now lives. In the hope of starting a new life, she ventures to the city, only to find that it too will not spare her. Her futile struggle to establish herself in the city leads to her spiritual and, ultimately, physical destruction.

The Soviet Union has collapsed. Civil and ethnic wars have broken out in Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, three republics in the Caucasus. The post-Soviet Caucasus have turned into one large conflict zone. Two radically different people with different ideals, problems, and goals are united by the conflict zone. Gogliko, a Tbilisi street boy, and Spartak, a Sukhumi sniper, are forced to solve problems of the street and problems of the state together. For one, the goal is to get back the money he lost gambling; for the other, it is to carry out a general's absurd military mission. In spite of it all, their paths cross and their lives are changed forever.

The President is the story of a dictator of an imaginary country in the Caucasus, who is forced to escape following a coup d’état, and begins a journey to discover his country in the company of his five-year-old grandson. The two travel across the lands that the President once governed. Now, disguised as a street musician to avoid being recognized, the former dictator comes into contact with his people, which he comes to know from a different point of view.

A Brazilian journalist begins traveling to every corner of Georgia.
