A playful, psychedelic meditation on the ideas of Ludwig Wittgenstein, **The Ghost of Wittgenstein** transforms philosophy into a kaleidoscope of image, sound and language. Eschewing conventional narrative, Ira Schneider combines rapidly shifting visuals, jazz and a looping conversation to explore the relationship between words, perception and reality. Alongside **I'd Rather Be Half Right Than Vice President** and **Lost in Cudilhy**, the film forms *The Charlotteruse with the Medal of the Wobbling Bubble in its Palm Trilogy*, a trio of experimental works restored in 2017 as part of a 16mm preservation project produced by Claudine Biswas-MacKenzie. The restored trilogy was subsequently presented at the Prada Fondazione in Milan and the Paris Independent Film Festival, celebrating Schneider's pioneering contribution to experimental film and early video art.

In Manhattan, garbage pickup requires cars to be moved each night to the alternate side of the street. This video describes the intricate rules & penalties during a frantic comic search for a valid parking space for the following day. The host Happy Parker introduces the rules and searches for space.

“The Ghost of Wittgenstein”, “I’d Rather be Half Right Than Vice President” alongside “Lost in Cudilhy” form that experimental trifecta of experimental or just plain mental art movies known as “The Charlotteruse with the Medal of the Wobbling Bubble in its Palm Trilogy”. Restored in 2017 comprise an essential 16MM restoration project by producer / director Ira Schneider, who is the undisputed master of the experimental doc genre as well as being the unsung founder of video art. They are to be re-released at the Prada Fondazione in Milan and Paris Independent Film Festival 2017. Restoration producer is Claudine Biswas-MacKenzie MA.
