Neo, a drifter from the atomic-blasted wastelands, arrives with his klutzy robot sidekick at a factory where slaves labor to fuel the sinister Dark One's Power Station. There, he meets a comely woman who convinces him to help rescue her scientist father, who has invented a device that can break the Dark One's control over the slaves. Gathering a motley crew of allies on the way, Neo and pals travel to the Power Station, where they confront the Dark One's evil servants.

Al Stanco has lived all of his life in Brooklyn and does some work for the local crime lord, Danny Parente. New to the neighbourhood is Gabriela, a filmmaker shooting a documentary on the real Brooklyn. Al and Gabriela become friendly but the relationship is strained when he discovers her true goal is to expose Parente's criminal activities. When Al sees the evidence Gabriela has uncovered, which implicates Parente in the death of many locals (including Al's own father), he seeks revenge in a dangerous confrontation with his boss.

Teaming up with unassuming cop Silvio Novembre, Ambrosoli uncovers the real scope of Sindona's malpractice, exposing him as the middleman in a global network linking the Sicilian Mafia, Italy's ruling Christian Democrats, and CIA-backed covert operations across Western Europe. Isolated by his own government and pressured by mob hitmen, Ambrosoli refuses to back down, insisting he is simply 'doing his duty'.
