A countryside girl moves to Cairo searching for her brother. She meets a rich man and marries him and enters the artistic field because of her beautiful voice. She becomes a big star, but she's unsatisfied with her marital life, so she drifts in a number of relations.

Part of a trilogy by Salah Abu Seif about women’s empowerment. The film takes place in late 1940s / early 1950s urban Egypt, and tells the story of a young woman’s search for personal freedom and a fulfilling identity as a young modern Egyptian.

Fares, a shoe factory worker, has only one passion in life: football. He lives a humble life in a chaotic neighborhood where he plays street football to increase his income. A juvenile reform prison hires a psychologist, Dr. Essmat, to help in the reformation and rehabilitation of the girls in the prison. As he studies their cases and tries to find solutions for their problems, the compassionate Dr. Essmat is confronted with the numerous problems that led the girls to be imprisoned. When one of the girls claims that he raped her he finds himself in trouble with the prison administration, but when she reveals the truth the girls take a different view towards Dr. Essmat and try to help him achieve his goals in reforming them.

Magda marries her lover Hassan, but on the first day of the honeymoon the market breaks into it, and it breaks in front of him. She begins in her husband's papers, recognizes the image of a murderer through his voice, and begins to take revenge.

A desperate old man asks a thug named Mahrous, whom he accidentally meets, to kill him in exchange for an amount of money. As he agrees, a friendship grows between them.

The divorced Zeenat gets involved with Medhat in a forbidden relationship and then he abandons her. Sayed refuses to marry her even though she is pregnant. Sayed exploits student Hassan's need for money and agrees with him to marry Zeenat a marriage of convenience.

In the wake of the Cairo Fire, Essam feels guilty for betraying his friend Samir by messing around with his wife Madiha. Essam decides to take revenge on Madiha's father who pressured him to marry her to avoid a scandal.

After studying in Europe, Abdel Aziz returns to his town to face the plots of Abu Al-Maati and his associates to force him to sell his land, and things become complicated with the arrival of Abdel Aziz's sister and her friends.

As Sharbat marries her sweetheart, she comes to realize that their ambitions and plans for the future do not align. She gets a divorce and falls in love with a rich student, only to marry his father. When the jealous student kills his father, Sharbat inherits her husband's entire fortune.

The film puts the lights on the struggle of youngsters to afford a proper life for marriage. Through their small incomes, and the ordeal of finding a house in crowded Cairo, so it follows a young couple's longing for their simpliest dreams - to be together.

The businessman greets Shawki in marrying his secretary, but she loves her relative Adel and they agree to marry. Shawki applauds his charges for unfairly imprisoning her.
