Hassan is an upright employee who works for a company. In order to win the favor of his bosses, Atallah and Jaafar, he gives them the key to his apartment to use for women's adventures. He actually gets a promotion. Hassan is impressed by his colleague Nawal, who loves the company manager, Helmy, who is married and has two sons. When Helmy lets her down, she gradually becomes attracted to Hassan.

'Shams' is a photojournalist, in a romantic relationship with 'Salwa'. When he is invited to cover a wedding, he accidentally captured a photo of a burning paper with mysterious words which leads him to a murderous gang.

In the 1940s, the policeman Imam moves to Cairo to work in an area devoted to prostitution. There he falls in love with the prostitute Nusse who works with the bully Jalal without knowing that she is practicing this profession. He is defended by an imam who beats an English soldier who tries to intercept her and assault her. He is tried and dismissed from service, then returns to live in the neighborhood and look for work, and becomes a pimp, a quarrel between him and Jalal al-Fatwa. Each trying to prove his strength and impose his power.

The film revolves around the cinematographer Rami Qashua, who begins to succeed in the cinema through the texts he writes, but his bad luck imprints it in an unenviable predicament when one of his texts ends up being written by a clerical writer on the typewriter. He performs the literal implementation of everything that happens in the scenario of theft and murder, and collaborates with journalist Sawsan in order to beat him.

Mohsen lives with his sister Aida and her husband Ezzat. After he graduated from the university, his colleague Najwa urges Mohsen to look for work so that they can get married. Ezzat tries to help Mohsen get a job but Mohsen fails in every job.

Dr. Mamdouh suffers from his wife's jealousy, although he is faithful,while his brother, Massoud has a wife who is always busy with the children. Ezzat, their cousin, advises them to follow his approach with his wife Saneya: he cheats on her, and at the same time showers her with love and respect.

After failing in his studies, Atoua turns to pickpocket. He meets his classmate Shukri, who is now the manager of a food company, he promises to find him a job but Atoua feels that he's lying. He steals his wallet and finds documents implicating Shukri and other people in embezzlement cases.

Kamel Abdel Shakoor is a general manager at one of the Ministry of Industry's companies and is known for his integrity. Fayed, the company's general manager of contracts, tries to convince him to get a commission, but he refuses despite his difficult financial circumstances.

Layla refuses to get married because she believes all men are liars especially after her sister's tragic suicide on her wedding day when her fiancé left her. Layla's father decides to put an end to her stubbornness and sends a letter that explains her problem to Ahmed who works as an editor for the local newspaper. His friend Kamal, a womanizer wants to settle down and find a wife. Ahmed suggests that Kamal should meet with Layla and ask for her hand in marriage, and both of them get engaged. When Layla discovers more on Kamal's past, she breaks off the engagement and the problems commence.

Ahmed Saad is a businessmen who has many affairs, because his wife Fahima neglects herself and takes care of her home only. Ahmed meets artist Suzy and promises to marry. When his son Zaki finds out ,he sacrifices himself and marries her in order to stabilize the house and gives up his fiancee.

The people of the town agree to buy a plow, they collect the money and task Rajab to go to Cairo to buy it. Once he arrives, he meets the professional pickpocket Bulbul who steals the money. Rajab tries to look for the thief and recover the money at all costs.

A mother loses her daughter Mervat, years later she publishes her picture in the papers with a reward for those who find her. The photographer Mohsen convinces Fifi the pickpocket to impersonate Mervat because of the big resemblance between them.

(Sherif) is a businessman who shares the company with his partner (Kamal). Kamal's father arrives from abroad and takes (Mahmoud), (Nahid's) fiancé, with him. They go to (Sherif) to offer a deal. Kamal is shocked when he sees his wife (Laila) with his friend and partner. He collapses and rushes to the car in a bad psychological state and is killed in an accident. (Mahmoud) confesses to (Nahid) the truth about the relationship between (Sherif) and (Laila). (Nahid) decides to take revenge on (Sherif), and the events of the film continue.
