This film about two women forces us into uncomfortably close proximity to a group of people we always feel we are better than, people we actively avoid listening to. What is our national identity as a society without social classes, the consequences of social exclusion, toxic relationships, and crises management with limited resources?

Gåte – Live at Herresalen 2024 captures the Norwegian folk-rock band in an intimate and atmospheric setting. The concert blends traditional Nordic folk music with powerful progressive rock and dramatic arrangements. And Gunnhild Sundli’s distinctive vocals give the performance an intense and almost mystical character.

Åge Aleksandersen, Gunnar Pedersen and Trondheimsolistene have since 2019 had a close collaboration which so far has resulted in over 60 concerts. This concert documentary follows the project to the legendary Huset on Svalbard and the Opera House in Oslo. The film provides a unique insight into Åge's career. He shares his stories about the music and the collaboration with Gunnar and the Trondheimsolistene. We also meet his daughter, Line-Sofie.
