Filmed on vacation with dear friends on Magheraclogher Beach near the village of Bunbeg and on Tory Island, both in Ireland. An excerpt from the longer work in-progress, 'Self Portrait at 34'. Two rolls of 16mm, edited in-camera. Shot on 50D and Ektachrome. 'Loinnir' is an Irish word which means " faint or veiled and tremulous gleam or shining; a glimmer", referring simultaneously to light reflected on the waves and the warm internal feeling which stems from quality time spent with friends. The camera shutter decided to add to the feeling on this occasion. Éirinn go Brách!

Two women try to understand what the other wants. Behind the scenes, their actresses try to understand what the director wants. Their director tries to understand what the actresses want. A playful and thought-provoking exercise in meta-filmmaking, exploring how an intonation, angle or glance can alter intention.
