Amélie Hardy

This film lifts the veil on the inner workings of women in politics, where everything happens far from microphones and official images. Through intimate and unfiltered testimonies from emblematic Quebec political figures, the film reveals the obstacles, struggles, and power dynamics that mark their journeys, while highlighting those who, despite resistance, forge new paths and redefine the contours of power.

At the crossroads of documentary and fiction, Hello Stranger relates the transition journey of a young trans woman named Cooper Josephine. With humor, the film revisits key moments of her life from her childhood in a small fishing village of the east coast of Canada to her tumultuous medical process. Through the re-enactment of her memories, Cooper Josephine attempts to make peace with the last masculine imprint on her body: that unfortunate deep voice that sticks to her skin.

Welcome to Mississauga where lawns are clipped, neighbors are watchful and no blade of grass dares misbehave. Except at Wolf Ruck’s place. His lawn grows wild, and so does the trouble.

A young man travels across America hopping from one freight train to another.

Young people wonder what their future profession should be. While the ambitions of some are brimming with ideas of grandeur, for others the horizon seems blurred and dizzying. In a series of sessions with a guidance counselor, they reveal their true selves.

Capture, document, record, share, restart. We are making ourselves more memorable than ever by archiving every bit of our daily lives. What if we lost something along the way?
