In a South of Italy full of beauty and hidden dangers, two adolescents, abused and damaged by life, Anna, whose father has been murdered and Basim, an immigrant orphan, escape together towards a new start.

Elsa is seventy and has five empty hives. The bees are gone like her husband. One morning he finds Amin, a sixteen-year-old boy who has escaped from an immigration center, hiding in the garage. The police are looking for him. Elsa hosts him in exchange for help.

Bruno is a middle-aged unemployed man and desperate for a job. He will soon discover that nobody is ready to help him and that the war between the poor is the only reality that belongs to him.
