During WWII in Ukraine both sides are desperately looking for the information about a forgotten weapons warehouse.

Post-war reconstruction. New residents turn on their first television in their new apartment—a bulky bandura with a tiny screen. On the screen are Tarapunka and Shtepsel, who promise a real revue — more precisely, a tour of Kyiv. But how can you do a tour if you can't see anything from here, Tarapunka reasonably asks. They decide to climb the radio transmission tower.

Everyone considered Sashko a mischief maker, but he dreamed of heroism. One day the boy was invited to act in a movie. Together with the entire film crew, Sashko went on his first expedition. But the war began. The wounded Sashko was rescued and rescued by a peasant woman, and when he recovered, she equipped him for a long journey - home to Kyiv. He reached his hometown, where the Nazis were already in control, and soon, having contacted the partisans, Sashko began to help them.

The Soviet steamer Bogatyr delivers construction materials and rafts with timber to the earthquake-stricken city of Marto. However, foreign intelligence is preparing a sabotage operation on the Bogatyr...

Mariana Kudel, the best milkmaid at the Trud collective farm, actively criticizes the conservative chairman, and as a result, she now works with the worst cows. She is clearly opposed by Katya Kvitko, the record holder for milk production, who is strongly supported by the chairman. Busy with the fuss, Katya pays little attention to her work and quarrels with Vasily, a zootechnician who is in love with her, and her friend Maryana. As a result of her carelessness, the record-breaking cow Volshebnitsa dies. Maryanka works from morning till late at night and soon takes first place. Katya, however, only comes in fifth. Selfless Maryanka loves Vasily, but nevertheless helps him and Katya find each other again...
