In Assam, 14-year-old Apu embarks on a desperate quest to rescue his beloved dog, Momo, after he is kidnapped. Elsewhere, in Bihar, a devoted dog named Oscar sets out on a perilous journey to find his kidnapped owner, a 15-year-old child labourer. As their journeys unfold, it becomes clear that the two kidnappings may be connected to a larger, sinister plan.

Juri faces several hardships after her husband dies of AIDS. She is thrown out of her in-laws' house. Soon, she returns to her village and gives birth to a baby girl.

Jyoti, an aspiring writer, from Assam, is destined to be bedridden as she is diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy at a tender age. A battle she is fated to fight for life. Even though life was hostile to her, Jyoti does not let her sufferings take better of her. Torn between her obligations towards her family and her aspirations, she decides to fight against all odds to lead an independent life in becoming an acclaimed author.

After a long gap of more than ten years, renowned writer Priyendu Hazarika returns to the town where once he was inspired to begin his journey as a writer. A book at times imitates the author's life. Memories stir and he remembers people he loved and lost. He admits to lacking the courage to weave a painful, harsh truth into his stories. At the end of the day however, he decides to face his own truth, alone, away from the appreciative audience.
