On a ferry travelling towards Lampedusa, we find a teenager on his first day of work as a gravedigger and a boy on his first mission as a diver. They do not know each other, but when they will set foot on the island, both their lives will change forever: one has to retrieve the bodies of drowned shipwreck victims, the other one has to bury them. A sort of dance between life and death, innocence and its loss.

Love blossoms between Teo and Emma, ​​two young people still finding their way in life. But Emma is afraid of commitment, and Teo has an idea and proposes a deal: their relationship will last exactly seven years. This way, from the beginning, they will both know when it's time to say goodbye, and Emma's fear of suffering will no longer exist.

Claudia is a girl like many other 20-years-olds, torn between past and future loves, but she has a peculiarity. When feelings overwhelm her, when she get excited or angry, she turns into a creature with white wings, tusks and feline paws. Her story is about abuse and protection, about growing up, about change: but most of all, it is about finding the courage to show others who we really are, and about being ready to take this risk.

Pietro is a revered teacher, Teresa his brilliant and precocious student. Their affair is both illicit and tempestuous. After one fight, Teresa suggests that each tell the other a secret, one so shameful or shocking that were it to be made public, it would destroy that person’s life. Time passes, Pietro’s stature as a writer grows and his family settles into the comfort of a bourgeois life. But he is haunted by the possibility that Teresa may one day reappear and tear apart his world with the secret she knows.
