Saoussen Maalej

This film tells the tragicomic destiny of three friends. The same age, they are all three of humble origins. The story begins in the 1970s in Nafta and evokes their childhood.

Between an unrewarding job and the daily routine visit to the cafe-shop for a water-pipe, K is eager to give up his condition of frustrated and introverted bachelor to seduce Chahra, the girl of his dreams. Through a series of very particular Chinese massages, he manages to shape his personality according to the ever-changing and whimsical demands of his entourage.

A new cinematic vision puts the psychological and social disintegration of family relationships under the microscope. The decline of human feelings in front of the tyranny material force and the breakdown of family ties open the door to opportunism and greed in order to acquire more money, causing the killing of human feelings and turns members of one family to enemies.

It's summer in Tunis. Hedi has just missed his baccalaureate for the third time. His father Houcine retired, but must give a last service to his boss Moncef: keep his villa while the latter spends his holidays in France, on the Côte d'Azur. Hedi, whose only desire is to leave the country, will, in spite of himself, follow his parents to the villa. He regains hope when he meets his neighbor Ramla, whom he falls in love with. But the arrival of his brother Raouf, a businessman who lives abroad, will make him discover a society in decomposition ...
