A sedentary and superficial aspiring film editor will test his senses and emotions when he falls in love with a talented and brilliant blind cook who, paradoxically, will make him see life differently.

Filmed during a 12-day workshop in the Amazon rainforest of Peru under the mentorship of Apichatpong Weerasethakul, La presencia de lo ausente is intended to be a farewell letter, but on its journey it becomes an exercise in memory, time, trauma and the lack. The encounter with humidity, mosquitoes, the sound of a walkie-talkie and two surveyors triggers the memory and begins the contemplation.

Three teenagers spend a day in an a apartment that doesn't belong to them. They pretend to live the life of the owners, until fear and jealousy break in. Things don't go so well and a foreign guest tests their strength.
