IMAM is an adaptation of the script of the National Literary Abdullah Hussain. This film revolves around the struggle of an imam, Haji Mihad who wants to bring about reform in his village. The reforms he wants to bring are opposed by some Muslim parties.

After her mother's death, Ayie takes on the responsibility of caring for her younger sister Aina. They live independently and stay in a house left behind by their mother. Ayie works as a street sweeper to support both of them. Kak Azah and Abang Zul are neighbors who frequently offer assistance to the siblings. However, since Aina was hit by a hit-and-run driver and became half-paralyzed, life for the siblings becomes increasingly difficult. Kak Azah and Abang Zul offer help to care for Aina, but Abang Zul loses control of himself and attempts to take advantage of Aina. Since then, Aina has gone missing without a trace. Where could Aina have gone?

Ian misunderstands and suspects that his fiancée Lisa is having a relationship with another man. Ian shares his disappointment with his close friend Saiful and compares Lisa with his ex-girlfriend, Zahra. Ian plans to publish his past love story with Zahra while Saiful advises Ian to focus his love on Lisa.

Things become more complicated when Pak Dollah falls in love with Mak Siti. Not only that, another man is now planning to propose to Ara. Jasni will have to find a way to marry her before the other man does.
