The story of the relationship between death row warden, Albert Gilmore, and Aleisha Edwards, a young black woman on death row, convicted for the fatal shooting of the officer who killed her husband.

Adam, a young man from Kerala, returns to Scotland upon learning that his mother has been murdered and his daughter, Ila, kidnapped. He then sets out to find the offenders and rescue Ila.
