Dima Al-Joundi

18-year-old Lina arrives in Paris for her studies. She comes to look for what she has never found in Lebanon, her country of origin: a certain form of freedom. The survival instinct as the only baggage, she sails from one Paris to another to the rhythm of her romantic encounters.

The personal and professional lives of five girlfriends living together in a flat: Nour, the landlord, who is in a lovers' quarrel with her fiance Wael, Leila an opinionated model, Media an aspiring actor, Samiha a daydreamer who's trying not to fail law school; and Lubna, a new comer who's looking for a job.

A short film inspired by The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, offering a contemporary take on themes of isolation, unrequited love, and the struggle between self and society.

The story of two sisters, Dima and Rim, and the city where they grew up, Beirut. Dima left Lebanon in 1984 to study in Belgium. Rim never left and is a painter. The two have lived the events of Beirut to their fullest.
