The plot of film is constructed on the basis of memoirs of the son and mother. They were divided with border between northern and southern Azerbaijan.

The main character of the film, Julia, is grieving the loss of her beloved husband. After a while, she will have a new man. But with him, distrust, sadness, and then true betrayal will enter her life. A friend who has always been there for her will give her a helping hand in difficult times.

Night, crosses, a yellow bus rushes along a deserted highway, the driver is on his last trip, hurrying to his bride. On the way from the sea, a happy couple in love returns. Suddenly, four prisoners appear on their way from the darkness. Rushing past, the driver sees a brutal beating on the side of the road. The screeching of brakes! Emotional emptiness pushes Lena to a desperate act: she goes to Kamensk to return her first love, Kostya. On the train, Lena meets a random traveling companion, Maxim. After spending the journey in easy and pleasant conversations, they part at the train station, not thinking that they will ever have to see each other again.
