In different parts of Tokyo, four young and seemingly healthy people suddenly die of heart failure at exactly the same moment. Reporter Kazuyuki Asakawa decides to investigate the deaths, and discovers that the four had stayed at a rural inn together just a week earlier. At the inn, he comes across a strange video that ends with a message saying that anyone who watches it will die exactly seven days later. Now the clock is ticking for Asakawa. Can he break the curse in time?

A member of the Japan Self-Defense Forces, Lieutenant Kasuga, was assigned to the earthquake-stricken area. Though he had lost his wife and young daughter in the tsunami, Kasuga concealed his own grief and devoted himself entirely to his mission. At an evacuation shelter, he encountered a boy named Kazuki Yoshimura, who had also lost his family and shut his heart. As Kazuki quietly observed the Self-Defense Forces at work, he eventually began to help people around him as well. Two people who met at the depths of despair decided to believe in hope and began to move forward. A story of “rebirth”, arising from loss.

A group of archaeologists open a tomb that awakens horrible monsters, while journeyman Yusuke Godai is compelled to access a strange belt from the tomb to fight back against them. Kakizaki Yuji’s period film is not like the jidaigeki films we are used to. While it deals with themes of seppuku, duty, and loyalty to one’s masters and the shogun, we see very little in terms of action. Instead, the film focuses on the inner thoughts and struggles of the protagonist—who is ordered to perform a ritual suicide—his wife, and their entire household, all leading up to the final moment.

Okamura quits his job and plans to make wine by renting some land to raise grapes with the help of Itoh and Uemera and other college classmates. Meanwhile, Shiroyama starts cultivating wine grapes at a fruit grape farm owned by his wife's family. Taking over his family winery, Takayama overcomes his parent's objection to him raising wine grapes. Undertaking Asai's wine training, they start to make wine.
