Megan Seely
Megan Seely is an award-winning filmmaker exploring life through dark comedy. Her debut feature Puddysticks is produced by Oscar-winner Alex Coco (Anora) and is currently playing across the nation, theatrically distributed by The Future of Film is Female in collaboration with NEON. She wrote, directed, and starred in the film with Dan Bakkedahl (Veep), Emmy-nominee Mamoudou Athie (The Drama), and Danny Deferrari (Shiva Baby). Beyond writing, directing, and acting in the festival-favorite My Loyal Audience, she co-wrote The Mad Whale, a feature starring Camilla Belle, Summer Phoenix, Dominic Rains, and James Franco, and created and starred in Every Year on My Half Birthday, her fiction podcast with Dan Bakkedahl and Peter Vack. As an actress, she can be seen in Amanda Kramer’s Imaginal Disk (Tribeca 2026) alongside pop duo Magdalena Bay, the Filipino-American musical movie The Girl Who Left Home, and with Helena Howard in Twist, which she also helped produce.
