A handsome young shepherd stumbles across a magical golden fern in the forest. A stunning, enigmatic forest fairy named Lesanka is sent to retrieve it but instead falls hopelessly in love with him. Wartime events from a child's perspective were a popular theme during the previous regime - here it is a twelve-year-old village boy who experiences dangerous situations with retreating Nazi troops in picturesque South Bohemia... Any attempt to achieve a more believable depiction is destroyed by the staging's grandeur, and in the end the result is an awkward piece, suitable at most for celebrating the relevant national holidays. A longer copy with a tragic ending is stored in the NFA. Milda is shot unnoticed by an SS major.

An evil and calculating stepmother chases her stepson out of the house. Petr tries in vain to find a job, but he is sent to hell everywhere. So he goes to serve in hell. As you will see, he could not have done anything better.

Anyone who would have guessed from the title that they would see a fairy tale about spinners would not have guessed. In this fairy tale, three godmothers spin the golden thread of fate for a noble prince and a gamekeeper's daughter from the cradle. These cute godmothers, played by Jaroslava Adamová, Stella Zázvorková and Blažena Holišová, can grant three wishes, fly with the help of a magic hat and appear at the sound of a magic bell, but unfortunately they get something mixed up here and there and deliberately mess something up. In the end, however, fate prevails and the prince and Joanna find their happiness together.

Mr. Ondřej longs for a bride, but he doesn't like any of them. When he discovers a picture of a girl at the market from the painter Matěj, he is literally enchanted at first sight. He therefore takes off his gentleman's coat and intends to find the girl at all costs. However, Matěj leads Mr. Ondřej by the nose. The desired girl in the picture is Rozárka, his own daughter, and he is not sure of the strength of Ondřej's feelings. Before the fairy tale reaches a happy ending and a wedding, the young man must undergo many trials.
