This drama deals with the love and ambition of 3 people in pain caught in a strangely tangled thread of fate. It is the story of Han Ji Won, who fell victim to a scheme, believed the man she loved to be dead and married another man; Yoon Hyung Mo, a man filled with ambition, who tries to kill Suh Jung Ha; and Suh Jung Ha, who once dreamed of love together with Han Ji Won.

Bomi is 12 years old. She wants her own room so badly. Her sister, Eonju, whom she shares the room with keeps sneaking a look at her diary. She studied really hard to get first place as her mom promised to get her own room if she did but her mom keeps denying the promise. So Bomi decides to marry her sister off! She finds out that the manager of a construction company like her sister and does her best to help him. The manager ends up winning her heart and proposes to Eonju. But she refuses his proposal. Bomi gets curious and tries to find out why she doesn't want to get married.

Ha-Jin (Yoon Jin-Seo), Yoo-Jin (Shin So-Yul), Tae-Suk (Kim Da-Hyun) and Kyoung-Chul (Lee Si-Yeon) all attended the same high school. Due to an unsavory incident, Yoo-Jin disappeared. 10 years later, these four people are now at the same place. The next day, Yoo-Jin, who is a budding novelist using the pen name of "Jin-Jin," is found dead. The other three are now suspects. Veteran detective Dae-Sik (Kim Min-Sang) tries to solve the case.
