A film about a mother's unbreakable love for her daughter. Ella only wants' to give her daughter Sara a hug.

Noora is raised in a strict Christian sect on the west coast of Norway. When she falls in love with Siv, she upsets her family's plans to marry her with the much older Johannes.

Escaping a religious community, receiving mixed messages from a much younger call girl, a one night stand that breeds results and a frantic wait for a baby on the way. What connects these uplifting stories is the all too human desire to embrace the future when the present is in doubt.

We meet Saira and Aleena. Two immigrant girls who are sitting on the sideline during their class's swimming lesson. Saira is infatuated with Geir, but her future is about to change forever.
