An electrician takes a job to replace sockets, desperate for cash after months of unpaid invoices. In a young mother’s flat, he discovers an illegal electricity bypass left behind by her parents. For her, it means a debt of hundreds of thousands; for him, the impossibility of finishing his work. Should he walk away and look for money elsewhere, or help her through unofficial means? A drama about survival in a system that leaves both characters with no choice but to bend its rules.

A short film set in a train compartment during a single train journey. You can't just stop a moving train, you can't jump off, you remain part of it until it brakes itself. The familiar world remains outside, enclosed, passing by the windows, only reflected in the train's windows. Inside, a new ecosystem is emerging, temporarily independent, bringing together random combinations of people. It's not difficult to intersect destinies; all you have to do is enter the compartment. Hynek Michánek wants to study medicine but fails his entrance exams five times. He starts a job as an orderly in a district hospital where one of the doctors on the examining board works as well. He feels no-one takes him seriously and he loathes the doctors, who treat him with disdain. When an old man begs him to end his pain and suffering by helping him to die, Hynek gives him a "liberating" injection. But now he has done it once, he finds he can't stop. He continues killing other patients, even though he knows he can't get away with it for long.

After the occupation of Czechoslovakia by Warsaw Pact troops, everyone is packing their bags to leave the country. Martin Ivánek, who has just been dismissed from his position as head physician, has a valid passport and an exit visa to the United Kingdom. He has made up his mind. But! He has a complicated medical case on his hands, which turns into a personal commitment.
