Nick just got back home after spending three months at a therapy centre. He is determined to leave all the pain inflicted by his previous love behind. But after one night back, Nick goes out with his two friends and catch up in a local bar. She makes a brash and sudden decision to travel home after almost a 3-year absence and compels LU (Lungile) her secret girlfriend of 2 years to put her life on hold to accompany her. Lu is apprehensive, but finally and out of a sense of desperation to finally have a normal relationship, agrees. They embark on a 2-day journey across the expansive South African vistas learning more about each other, imagining the happy endings and debating the possible outcomes of coming out to Zai’s conservative and Muslim family. They arrive but things don’t go according to plan.
