Kaori is a single mother and she raises her high-school age daughter Futaba. Her daughter is in a rebellious phase and ignores her mother. Kaori decides to take measures to communicate with her daughter and also get some revenge. Kaori creates messages in her daughter's bento meals.

In Tokyo, lonely patrons pay to sleep ("soine") with someone. Massage, cuddle, sleep… for comfort and nothing more than the warm embrace of another. Tasuku, a young man fresh out of a relationship, starts a new job as one of the cuddlers. He's nervous and reticent, but soon finds himself with a procession of clients, male as well as female. In his unique position as their companion, he finds himself privy to the true selves they keep closeted. A coming-of-age film set in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture. It depicts the delicate relationship between three high school girls, Ryoko, Mutsumi, and Ema, as they approach graduation from high school. It has been a while since Ryoko has seen her classmates Mutsumi and Ema, and when she does reunite with them, she is pondering why life in the countryside seems to offer them nothing. Then, on the way home from the graduation ceremony, an action by Mutsumi triggers the three girls to reveal their true feelings to each other…
