Kabul, August 15, 2021. US troops are preparing to withdraw from Afghanistan, while the Taliban are marching on the capital to seize power. In the utmost secrecy, the first African space mission is preparing to take off! The crew, from Africa and its diaspora, is set to explore the planet "NARDAL", assessing its potential as a refuge for all Africans should Earth ever become uninhabitable. In Le Havre, just like every morning, the 5:48 a.m. bus leaves Place des Martyrs to begin its route, driven by Gilles, a quiet and exhausted driver. This morning, at his wits’ end, despised by the authorities and abandoned by his wife, he takes his passengers hostage. While the police and media rush to the scene, inside the bus, the hostages, grappling with the same distress as Gilles, may not be so innocent after all…

In the land of Chamoux, there are powerful women from the 2020s who are unable to get a raise, hyper-efficient secret agents who are unaware of their abilities, friends who listen without seeming to, and women who believe in telekinesis. There are girls who count quickly and accurately, girls who speak too softly, and girls who think too loudly. The common thread is Elise Lucide, an insatiable and sensationalist investigative reporter, a pure product of the old-school French media landscape, determined to bring viewers the purest essence of this terra incognita: female humor. From couple's life to palliative care, from schools to Comedy Clubs, Chamouxland is a journey to the limits of the post-modern, post-feminist, and post-Me-Too world.
