Dudley Buxton

Two-minute excerpt from one of the World War One propaganda series by Dudley Buxton and Anson-Dyer, featuring a lightning sketch of Kaiser Wilhem receiving a telephone call.

A combination of Lightning Sketches along with stop-motion animation illustrate England's reactions and responses in World War One.

An animated recreation of the sinking of the Lusitania is the centrepiece of this pioneering mix of comedy, satire and outrage in cartoon propaganda.

A comical satire of a cinema program and operation.

Stop-motion and lightning sketch animated propaganda short from World War One, notably featuring a caricature of Chaplin defeating a zeppelin.

This cartoon from the Great War of 1914-18 isn't quite what the opening would lead you to expect, and the message of the finale isn't quite what the propaganda slant of the middle section has led you to expect either!
