An introduction to fantasy literature, namely The Lord of the Rings, Arthurian legend, and Beowulf. Released as two VHS tapes, "Swords & Sorcery" and "Monsters & Mayhem", but as one DVD.

Narrated by Debbie Allen, the film bridges inspiring stories of individuals who have found purpose in their lives with the insights of leading scientists whose work affirms that living with purpose improves health and longevity.

A mysterious power failure in a small mountain town coincides with the disappearance of one of its most eccentric young residents. Mystery piles upon mystery as his family and friends search for him, fail, and ultimately try to forget about him, an undertaking that results in many unexpected, and in some cases bizarre, effects on the town's already peculiar community.
