Shan Khan

Devised and written by Lynda La Plante as a follow-on from her successful television series Prime Suspect, this vast police procedural follows police detectives in England as they investigate crimes and the trials that come about as a result.

Scotland Yard Agents Donald Sumpter and Shan Khan come to Mumbai in search of a Drug Dealer and are helped by a cop and a journalist. Shan falls in love with a girl whose brothers are searching for her because her father is on his deathbed and wants to meet her once. However, they encounter bureaucratic obstacles on the way which frustrate them at each step.

A story centered on a young woman targeted by her family for an "honour killing" and the bounty hunter who takes the job.

Urban tale of innocence and darkness.
