Green-haired Maia is tired of city life and, driven by a desire to be among nature, she decides to spend the summer picking oranges. In the orchards, she is greeted by the gardener, an eccentric loner called Teo, who notices that Maia isn’t like everyone else. In the same way, he tends his plants and devotes his time and energy to her, and the young woman starts to blossom. Their burgeoning friendship, however, is unsettled by the arrival of Teo’s father and older brother Arturo, who are planning a celebration in a neighboring village.

The moving life and international career of actress Valentina Cortese is acted out by eight Italian actresses who interpret parts of her biography. A rich assortment of stock footage and film clips creates a vibrant portrait of our Diva.

Five soldiers and their punishment.

At the conclusion of the DO Tour Casting project, organized by the DO Cinema agency to search for new talent across Italy (including Turin, Milan, Florence, Rome, Naples, and Maratea), the video testimonials of the people met form a mosaic of stories, faces, and emotions. And amidst hopes and disappointments, uncertainties and talent, they create a universal portrait of a generation. An experiment that follows the maturation of future faces of cinema not only professionally, but also, and above all, personally.
