Jimena Muhlia

A teenager has a crush on his best friend's mom.

Lily, a little girl, prepares a party for her father while she is in the care of her cousin Teo, who completes her idea of family.

I like to think about the plastic possibilities of cinema in conjunction with bodily exploration, in a quest for dynamism and surprise in the image. In this piece, there is an intrinsic theme of identity, memory, and displacement between Mexico and California, and the impression of those geographies on my gaze.
