In 1942, the Far North was home to an icebreaker, almost devoid of weapons. Despite this, it stood as a formidable force, blocking the path of a German cruiser. Led by Captain Anatoly Kacharava, a small detachment of sailors held back the enemy for over three hours. This daring act thwarted Operation Wunderland, a meticulously planned Nazi operation aimed at preventing a Soviet convoy from delivering essential supplies to Arkhangelsk.

The first secretary of the city party committee's house was filled with his colleagues: the head of the construction department, the deputy manager of the bank, a journalist, an ambulance doctor, and the head of the police department - in short, those who were responsible for the city's survival. According to the decision of the illegal center, Zoya has to leave the city, but she cannot come to terms with the idea that innocent girls are being tortured by the Gestapo because of her.

Alexander considers one of the vacationers to be the director for some reason and will set a cruel regime in the boarding house to please him.
