This simple story shows how a spoiled girl from a rich Belgrade family at the beginning of the 20th century, despite her habits and upbringing, experienced a change and stepped into the real world on Easter, thanks to an unusual event, as well as her pure childish heart.

The story is centered around members of the Kamshatov family (including Sergei Petrovich and his grandson Yakov Ivanovich) alongside various relatives, acquaintances, and family contacts.

A young lawyer employed at the Serbian State Prosecutor's office is sent to investigate a war crime commited by a paramilitary unit during the military conflicts in late 90s Kosovo.

That first St. Nicholas day at the beginning of the new, twentieth century, gathers the heroes of this story and reveals their faces and characters. Who are they? Predators, conspirators, lovers and voluptuous, incompetent officials, careerists and servants of the regime.

This classic work of Serbian drama is a story abut two liars who found themselves in the house in which their lies are accepted as truth, hence provoking them to compete which of them is better and more persuasive at lying.

Older but wealthiest man in the village Života waits for his Russian bride, but when his freshly single nephew Dragoljub arrives he falls for the girl and takes her away. Nevertheless, wedding happens. Života marries local psychic, Dragoljub marries the Russian girl and his son marries his own girlfriend.
