A marine biologist is leading a project for the mapping of one of the deepest areas of the North Atlantic Ocean. Her project depends on the controversial use of a developing biotechnology that works directly with a species of krill that inhabits at low depths. Throughout months of observation and communication, the marine biologist develops a relationship of friendship and kin with the krill swarm, while observing their movements through the nano-cameras incorporated in their bodies -- slowly moving through the deeper zones of the Ocean.

Over the course of one night, two middle-aged friends—actors in a struggling theater company—wander the streets of Lisbon’s less touristy neighborhoods, which seem to never sleep, and talk about all and nothing, about life, work, commitment, the stage, illness, death, family. Hermínio and Barata are like brothers, “children” of Mário Plácido, the founder and director of the troupe who died a few weeks ago, but they have different personalities and do not share the same vision for the future of the company. Barata wants to save it and continue to stage plays, while Hermínio has doubts about whether it should continue. The rift could shake their decades-long friendship.

In the mid-90s, while the shadow of the millennium bug and the consequent end of times can already be seen, a deeply religious family believes that the biblical prophecy that foresees the return of Jesus to Earth will be fulfilled in the womb of their youngest daughter.

Along the day, we accompany Filomena, who works as a cleaning lady, through six different places.

Idling afternoons, drugs, heartbreaks, psychedelic moods immersed in music. An adrenaline rush. Lisbon as the backdrop for a drifting youth.

Two friends cannot find their way around the city of Lisbon. It is a film, which could be a poem, that has no genre and serves as a bridge between the narratives, forms, and dreams of the characters they encounter.

The mother is dying, the relationship hangs by a string, the new job is at risk. Marco's only chance to avoid the tragedy is to find three unicorns before the day's end.
