Jerome Robbins considered the Paris Opera Ballet as his second home after the New York City Ballet. This production in his honour brings together works displaying the infinite diversity of his sources of inspiration and his genius on stage. Be it in the energy of the large-scale Glass Pieces or the intimate sweetness of Afternoon of a Faun and A Suite of Dances, there emerges that rare capacity to make bodies follow the flow in a living comprehension of music. As the celebrated ballet Fancy Free, a veritable theatrical portrait of an era, enters the repertoire, Robbins reveals another facet of his talent.

Nureyev & Friends, filmed in HD at Le Palais de Congres in May 2013, features dancers from the world’s finest ballet companies paying tribute to him in an exceptionally prestigious dance gala celebrating the 75th anniversary of his birth.

Premiered in Paris in 1870, and inspired by the fantastical writings of E.T.A Hoffmann, Coppélia tells the story of a young man who falls in love with an exquisite automaton. He is finally brought to his senses by his fiancée. In his production from the magnificent Palais Garnier, choreographer Patrice Bart reveals his interpretation of the ballet.

Director of Dance Benjamin Millepied pays tribute to his masters, George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, two truly great choreographers, both of Russian origin, who led the American School, and dance in general, to rarely attained heights.
