A group of scientists is sent to the planet Arkanar to help the local civilization, which is in the Medieval phase of its own history, to find the right path to progress. Their task is a difficult one: they cannot interfere violently and in no case can they kill. The scientist Rumata tries to save the local intellectuals from their punishment and cannot avoid taking a position.

Fedot the Shooter is sent by the Czar to find some special food for the foreign ambassador's visit. During the hunt Fedot meets his love Marusya - the magical bird-woman. Evil Czar and his no-less-evil sidekick General with the help of the local witch Yaga try to eliminate Fedot by giving him more and more complex quests and to take Marusya to Tsar's palace. Marusya helps Fedot to solve the quests successfully.

A high-schooler named Valentin Kuzyayev is invited to appear on a TV show about youth. When he is given a questionnaire, Valentin finds himself unable to answer the simplest questions. To sort himself out, he starts to keep a diary.

The film is based on the best choreographic numbers from the performances of the Leningrad Music Hall, songs of pop stars and romances performed by popular singers. The concert numbers are united by the storyline of the participation of all performers in the filming of a musical comedy film.

Now the director himself is ready to get rid of the actor, but he is afraid of Irina’s move. But unexpectedly, to everyone, including Melanko himself, his relationship with Irina develops into a deep, strong feeling...

The war caught Pavlik and his mother far from Leningrad, where they lived. Soon they found themselves in the territory occupied by the Nazis. When his mother was arrested on the traitor's denunciation, Pavlik went on foot to Leningrad. The partisan scout Savely brought the boy to his house, and two winters later Pavel, having matured, became a soldier and returned to Leningrad with a partisan supply train.
