Adrian Hughes digs into his mother's dramatic life, from the jetset Copenhagen of the 1950's to loneliness and alcoholism, but a bitter farewell letter opens new wounds. In Jesper Dalgaard's staged documentary we encounter tragic female destinies, affluent and absent fathers, while actors such as Birthe Neumann, Asta August and Jakob Cedergren bring the past to life in this breathtaking experiment. With equal parts humour and pain, the film shows that it's never too late to try to understand your family.

Martin's dream is to be normal, but he gave that up long ago. Diagnosed at nine with severe conditions, he now just wants a 1994 Honda Civic.

Formed by 30 years of home videos, more than 75,000 photographs, and a 1,600-km Arctic Circle road trip, a self-portrait of the men in the filmmaker's family and the devastating tragedy that led to the distance between them.

A mother, who rarely sees her filmmaker son, suddenly encounters a ghost outside of his childhood bedroom. He pays her a long overdue visit, to explore the mystery, and contemplate why his family has drifted apart.

One year after losing his wife, 82-year-old Norman meets a woman online. To entice her to visit, his grandson helps him shoot a video presenting his home.
