Scarlett Koehne

A hardened special forces agent fights to protect a young woman from a sinister criminal gang. At the same time, he feels a special connection to the young woman, like they have met in a different life.

Through slice-of-life vignettes, a young mother grapples with her own upbringing to navigate parenthood’s shifting demands, and to find moments for herself. Jess Barclay Lawton’s sensitivity for character studies evolves strikingly into this documentary whose slow tenderness testifies to the depth of trust between director and subject.
