Twelve-year-old Trabzon Rum, Paris, escapes from the camp to get the gift that his father carved for his mother. When he returns, he sees that the exchange is sent and the camp is evacuated. The new regime declared Major Osman a traitor, arrested and closed the camp, which was evacuated from the exchanges. This twilight, in which roots and loyalty are questioned, will be the homeland of both until new ships arrive.

1916. As the Russian invasion threatens Trabzon, Zeynep and Safiye set out west, taking Zeynep's four-year-old son, Haşim, with them. However, young Haşim succumbs to the brutal conditions of the journey and dies. Zeynep, unable to bear the thought of burying him in the depths of an unknown forest, changes her path to find a suitable village cemetery.

Fidan was all by herself on a long and winding road in the mountains, in the middle of nowhere, when Şemsi, the truck drives gives her a ride to Istanbul. When Şemsi learned that Fidan was a suicide bomber, brainwashed by a terrorist organization, he thinks that he is responsible for the people who will die in the suicide attack. By this aim, he has determined to take Fidan back to her home before the suicide attack takes place. He is ready for taking every type of risk in order to not feel guilty.

Groom's Block is slang in Turkey for prison sections holding those accused of serious sex crimes. The film's story and characters are drawn from everyday life. In the Groom's Block, the guards and prison governor manipulate tensions, as prisoners push each other to the edge of existence. We experience the tension and paradox of a violent prison and justice systems reflecting the shifting moral norms and structure of Turkish society. The jailed and jailers enforce violent justice daily, expressing in their lives a society confronted with its need to hide from itself, in desperate denial of its cruel contradictions.
