Mária, a retired teacher, one fine day decides she no longer wants to feel like a cow, and when not even the mayor helps her against the arrogant source of local evil, she obtains a gun and resolves to do what most of us occasionally think of but immediately banish from our minds. A writer-director known for becoming obsessed with his own stories, Jacob Falk stumbles upon photographs of prisoners of war being tortured by Danish soldiers. Suspecting a political conspiracy, Falk falls into a frenetic chase to reveal the mystery behind the photos, which leads him to discover a truth more disturbing than he imagined.

A serial killer murders wealthy businessmen. He lures them to his sprawling estate under the pretext of selling it. However, one of the murders does not fit into this series, even though it is similar to the others to a certain extent. The widow of businessman Sojková is also a suspect, but she is also acting as an amateur detective. She searches for her husband's killer on her own, as she believes the incompetent police are unable to catch him.
