Cara de Ángel's sexuality is about to explode. His masculinity is constantly being tested, threatened by Colorete and the pack from his neighborhood. To prove his manhood, he joins a robbery; however, driven by his hormones and his attraction to Gabriela and Johnny, a punk singer, his plans will change.

The story of Ernesto Pimentel’s life, raised humbly after losing his mother, inspires him to create the iconic character La Chola Chabuca, an Andean figure who captivates all of Peru with her colourful skirts and high spirits.

Ray is a gay teenage fisherman who embarks on a journey to find his mother in the Peruvian jungle, armed with little more than a photo of her in a bar in Iquitos. As he ventures into the unknown, he is forced to confront his motivations for seeking her and the harsh realities of his own life.
