A CIA operation to purchase classified Russian documents is blown by a rival agent, who then shows up in the sleepy seaside village where Bourne and Marie have been living. The pair run for their lives and Bourne, who promised retaliation should anyone from his former life attempt contact, is forced to once again take up his life as a trained assassin to survive.

Dostoevsky's translation of the biblical story to Russian soil resonates more poignantly than ever before. The play, with its intense plot development, seamlessly intertwines profound philosophical and moral content with a maelstrom of destructive passions, centered on the protagonist, who unwittingly sparks a love rivalry between two extraordinary women. And everything ends with his tragic departure from Yasnaya Polyana and his death at an obscure little station of Astapovo.
