Eduardo Crespo was born in Crespo, Entre Ríos, Argentina, in 1983. He directed the feature film “As close as I can” (2012) with support of Hubert Bals Fund and the documentary “Crespo (The persistence of memory)” (2016), both of them premiered in international festivals. He also co-directed, with Santiago Loza, the TV series “Twelve houses” (2014), awarded like Best Series in Argentina’s TV. He also worked as a Photography Director and Producer in numerous films.

NR"I was not afraid today" are two films at the same time. The first one portrays two sisters in their daily lives and the second one gets rid of the linear narration in search of a free manipulation of the visual and sound texture.

6.2After the death of his father, Eduardo Crespo embarks on a journey to film a movie as they would have done together. A film about Crespo, the town where they come from, poultry farming, and the relationship the father and son used to have. Now that the main character is no longer there, the film travels around the same places. Trying to put together, through the town collective memories and a personal memory, in order to reconstruct from all these details, the figure of that father who is not there anymore.

Horacio makes one last trip, curing animals in the mountains, before dying. Mara, some time after her departure, meets Roy, a Dominican boy who arrives in town seeking asylum. They become friends. She helps him speak Italian and teaches him about the caves. Together, they take an excursion inside a cave. There Mara will meet her dead father and they will talk about what they never talked about before. Film about close ties, identity, uprooting and the force of nature.
