Lola is hitch-hiking on a highway rest area when she meets Karim. He agrees to drive her all the way to Paris. Lola wants to become a film actress. Karim wants to change the course of History. The revolution will happen with or without them.

Vincent is tired of taking care of his old sick father. With his friend Jimmy, they try to impose themselves in the local music scene. One evening, Vincent defends Jimmy against a thug to whom he owes money.

An alien comes to earth with a botanical virus, but a gutsy Arizona widow wins him over with her garden-fresh cooking, and then tries to topple the corrupt government that put him up to it.
