Story about four generations in a family of musicians.

When she can't support her illegitimate child, an abandoned young woman puts her up for adoption and pursues a career as a torch singer. Years later, she searches for the child she gave up.

Felix Rudolff is a dressmaker tailor and later dresses like a policeman after seeing a parade He becomes a rookie policeman who handcuffs Dynamite Dan. He doesn't stay captured. Felix Rudolff has to deal with a live and kicking Dynamite Dan. Rufolff ends up with the collar and the girl.

A black-face minstrel preacher motivates his congregation in song. Gags include a stockpile of guns outside the church and stolen chickens.

The story of aging chorus girl Frankie Arnette, who'll do anything for publicity. Fiercely ambitious, Frankie even promises that if she is given a leading role in an upcoming Broadway musical, prominent producer Morgan Andrews will be allowed to enjoy the "attentions" of her own daughter Marilyn. But Marilyn is in love with likeable Ray Joyce, and wants no part of her mother's intrigues.

Bobbe Arnst accompanied by Peggy Ellis on piano plays us a few songs.

Eddie Cantor, in a Paramount Pictures debut short made to test his "talkies" appeal, whips several songs in his usual nervous style and gets good assistance in the dialogue department from a cute bobbed-hair trick named Bobbie Arnst. The Photoplay magazine reviewer noted that Cantor was well-suited for sound films and was the only possible contender to Al Jolson.
